From healthcare establishments to educational environments our Safety Pods have been proven to provide an unrivalled aid for professionals that seek graded environmental support and safety.
In pursuit of excellence, with clear aims to encourage good practice and end reliance on force, the Safety Pod™ has improved services for vulnerable people of all ages and needs. It provides an aid for a range of professionals to provide the highest level of care and support in situations that may be considered challenging.
We believe the Safety Pod should be there as an alternative option to consider within any organisation that has a potential risk of a physical intervention taking place.
The design of the Safety Pod™ has been informed by some of the country’s leading healthcare organisations and professionals as well as national force experts, performance and safety engineers and experts by experience.
The design not only meets the latest industry standards and regulations, but exceeds those requirements, providing a guarantee that our products will fully suit the demands of a diverse range of environments, needs and uses.
The Safety Pod has gone through many rigorous tests and pilots including an annual medical risk assessment by Dr Anthony Bleetman, who is one of the Government’s preferred risk assessors.
We believe Safety Pods can be used and should be an option in any organisation which may use physical interventions to reduce risk and maintain a person’s safety. With the introduction of our Safety Pods we have helped a number of organisations progress and become safer places of practice.
Safety Pods have a completely unique design that responds to every individual’s unique shape and size to ensure appropriate head, neck support and spinal alignment. It takes seconds to prime the Safety Pod before each use and once primed, the specially designed hood of the Safety Pod will inflate in an ergonomically driven response to whatever size head, neck or shoulders enter.
The Safety Pod’s unique inner construction and nylon bonded impact vent ensures a seating angle of approximately 135 degrees from the top of the knees to the individual’s head, eliminating the risk of head trauma. This, as stated in Dr Bleetman’s medical review, gives an optimum position for greater chest expansion and lung function, reducing the risks of asphyxiation.
